Around the Granite State: Pelham field hockey grabs win over Milford

The Pelham High School field hockey team got goals from three players in a 3-0 win over Milford on Wednesday.

Jordan Robito, Lyla Prince and Makenzie Comtois each scored for the Pythons (2-3-1) while Morghan Swiniarski and Cassidy Harrington each picked up an assist.

No. 7 Hollis Brookline 2, Hanover 0

The Cavaliers picked up their sixth win in a row to open the season, beating the Bears on the road.

Brooke Bouchard and Addison Marchant each had a goal to lead HB (6-0).

No. 2 Keene 8, Portsmouth 0

The Blackbirds improved to 6-0 on the season, getting four goals and an assist from Olive Thatcher in a win over the Clippers.

Sofia Miller added two goals and two assists while Maya Stebbins had a goal and an assist. McKenna Nelson also scored for Keene while Lilly Rowell finished with three saves.

No. 5 Bishop Guertin 6, Nashua South 0

Maddie Harrington had two goals and Carly Green finished with six assists as the Cardinals blanked the Panthers.

Addison Daddona added a goal and an assist while Sophie Bilodeau, Sarah Brunelle and Jordan Gaebel had a goal apiece. Ciara Fallon played well in goal in the second half while Gabby Gillette and Sophia Harrington were strong defensively for Bishop Guertin (6-1).

South (1-6) got 19 saves from goalie Meury Navarette while Emily Richard also had two defensive saves.

No. 6 Pinkerton 9, Nashua North 0

Jaelyn Crossman scored four goals to help lead the Astros to a win over the Titans.

Meaghan Shea and Hannah Lisauskas added two goals apiece for Pinkerton (4-2) while Ayvree Hamilton and Cayden Madeiros each had a goal. Catherin Terrile also played well for the Astros.

No. 9 Concord 2, Windham 1

The Jaguars got a late goal from Abbie Petrini, but it wasn’t enough against the Crimson Tide.

Dana McAleer made five saves for Windham (2-5) while Emme Mulrenan, Sophie Manchester, Ella Wilkins, Eliza Meuse and Ella Gallinelli played well.

Girls Volleyball

Hollis Brookline 3, Keene 0

The Cavaliers picked up a win at home by sweeping the Blackbirds. Game scores were 25-15, 25-17 and 25-16.

Maggie Noble had 11 kills and three aces and Anika Carlson recorded six kills and two aces. Angelina Dillberg had five aces and one kill and Hershey Vedula recorded three aces for HB (4-1).

Portsmouth Christian 3, Hillsboro-Deering 0

The Eagles grabbed a win over the Hillcats by scores of 25-12, 25-7 and 25-11.

Quinn Arico had four kills, eight aces, six assists and four digs to lead PCA (4-1) while Heidi Geyer had three kills and Lexi Jordan had eight assists.

Emma Eisner added six aces and Lily Druge had three kills while Maycie Andress had three digs.
