DERRY –  Matt Gormady scored five goals to help lead the Pinkerton Academy boys lacrosse team to a 20-1 win Thursday over Manchester.

Kyle Ushkevich added four goals and an assist and Tyler Barry had three goals for the Astros (4-0, No. 3 in the MerchSquared.com/NHHSSports Coaches Poll).

Gavin Burwell played well in goal for Pinkerton while Brendon Carney, Brady Blaszka and Ronan Connors were solid defensively.

The Kings (1-3) got their lone goal from Cade Tripp.

No. 1 Bishop Guertin 16, No. 7 Merrimack 3

Henry Tobin and Cayden Dine each had a goal and an assist, but it wasn’t enough for the Tomahawks in a loss to the Cardinals.

Hudson Rousseau also had a goal for Merrimack (3-2) while Mason Tremblay made 13 saves and Quinn Curren finished with three saves.

Girls Lacrosse

No. 2 Bishop Guertin 13, No. 9 Windham 1

Sarah Brunell had four goals and an assist to help the Cardinals to a win over the Jaguars.

Charlotte Accomando added three goals, five draw controls and a groundball while Bella Dawson had two goals, two assists and three groundballs. Jordan Gaebel scored two goals and had one assist to go with four draw controls, three groundballs and a caused turnover.

Abby Lynn chipped in with two goals and a groundball while Sydney Brophy had six groundballs and two caused turnovers for Bishop Guertin (3-0).

Maddy Eder-Linnell played the first half and didn’t allow a goal, making two saves with a caused turnover and a groundball. Emmerson Danish played the second half and made four saves.

Pelham 13, Campbell 5

The Pythons closed out a win over the Cougars in a game that was started on April 15 and suspended due to weather.

Ella DeSimone led the way with eight goals and an assist for Pelham (4-0) while Jessica Phillips had two goals and an assist. Mya Dion and Kayla Bordonaro added a goal apiece.

MaKenna Comtois also had an assist and Addison Breault finished with eight saves.

Oyster River-Newmarket 21, Spaulding 1

Naomi Blake had the lone goal for the Red Raiders while Izzy Orrell had 12 saves in the loss.
