MERERIMACK – A 5-0 run to end the first half Saturday helped send the Pinkerton Academy boys lacrosse team to a a 13-5 win over Merrimack in the Division I quarterfinals.

The No. 4 Astros (11-8, No. 6 in the NHHSSports Coaches Poll) will now face No. 1 Bedford in the semifinals Wednesday at 7:15 p.m. at Bill Ball Stadium in Exeter.

Cole Summers had four goals and three assists and Matt Gormady added three goals and four assists for Pinkerton. Adam Scala also had three scored and added two assists while Jeff Gormady scored twice.

Ben Quintiliani added a goal and Alec Henry had an assist while Owen Perkins made eight saves. Dylan Stingel went 17 of 21 on faceoffs.

Merrimack (9-9) got two goals from Conor Dunn, giving him 70 points for the season, breaking the school record of 69 set by his brother, Kyle, last season.

Max Giles had a goal and two assists while Sean Anderson and Hudson Rousseau had a goal apiece. Henry Tobin and Gavin Hickey each added an assist and Mason Tremblay finished with 20 saves.

No. 1 Bedford 19, No. 8 Dover 2

The Bulldogs returned to the semifinals for the first time since 2021 with a quarterfinal win over the Green Wave.

Brody Helton had five goals and three assists for the Bulldogs (17-1, No. 2) and Bennett Matthews also scored five times and had two helper. Derek Kulesza finished with a goal and three assists and Sam Barad scored twice and had two assists.

JJ Gaffney added two goals and an assist and Tristan Kerr had two goals while Luke Purnell and Cobe Rubin also scored. Kevin Mastrodicasa, Kevin Sheridan and Joey Miller each had an assist.

Tobey Desroches had both goals for the Green Wave (7-10) and Ben Tower had an assist. Dom Chalifour finished with 19 saves.

Division II Quarterfinals

No. 2 Derryfield 15, No. 7 Oyster River-Newmarket 2

Chili Cabot had four goals and seven assists to help the Cougars get past the Bobcats and return to the semifinals.

RJ Proulx added five goals and Ryan Maxwell had three for Derryfield (16-2, No. 5). John Kramer had a goal and two assists and Dom Cercone had goal and an assist.

Cooper Ketcham also scored and Brady Doldo had an assist while Parker Lebiedz made 12 saves. Logan Purvis was 14 of 17 on faceoffs and Jackson Hatfield finished 3 of 4.

Ty Callander and Evan Plourde each had a goal for the Bobcats (12-6) while Jake Faila had an assist. Cole Norris finished with eight saves.

Derryfield will now face No. 6 Winnacunnet in the semifinals at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Stellos Stadium in Nashua.

No. 6 Winnacunnet 5, No. 3 Windham 3

The Warriors held a Jaguars’ offense that averaged 15.3 goals this season to just three, thanks in part to 15 saves from goalie Noah Andronaco.

Nolan Rennie, Beckett Rath, Tom Kollmorgen and Lukas Botnick had a goal and an assist apiece while Liam McNally had a goal and Braden Nowak had an assist for Winnacunnet (13-5).

Windham (15-3, No. 8) got a goal apiece from Matt Desmarais, Sam Kramer and Josh Trudel.

No. 4 Timberlane 11, No. 5 St. Thomas 4

Jack Condon had seven goals to help lead the Owls past the Saints.

Mike Savage added three goals and an assist and Rocco Psareas also scored for Timberlane (15-3, No. 7), which avenged a loss to St. Thomas (13-5, No. 9) in last year’s quarterfinal.

Austin Charest and Cole Gerry had two assists apiece while Landon Petry and Gary Shivell also had a helper each. Bryce Carty made six saves and Joe Hughes finished with four.

Timberlane moves on to face No. 1 Portsmouth in the semifinals at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday at Stellos Stadium in Nashua.

No. 1 Portsmouth 15, No. 8 Goffstown 5

The Clippers led 9-3 at halftime, despite falling behind by two early, and rolled to the semifinals with a win over the Grizzlies.

Zac Amend finished with six goals and two assists for Portsmouth (18-0, No. 4) while Reilly Collins and Ben Purcell had three goals and an assist each. Lucas Patten also had three goals while Briggs Catino and Andy Brown had two assists apiece.

Nick Smith also had an assist and was 15 of 17 on faceoffs while Kai Paterson had five saves and AJ Craig had two.

Goffstown (11-6) got two goals from Sam Chapman while Eli Dillaway, Drew Sealy and Owen Matatall had a goal each. Sean Cote finished with 12 saves.

Division III Quarterfinals

No. 5 Bow 7, No. 4 Kearsarge 6 (OT)

Billy Smethurst scored his second overtime goal in as many games to send the Falcons past the Cougars.

Gavin McCabe had three goals for Bow (11-4), including the tying goal to force overtime late in the fourth quarter.

Brad Ekstrom finished with 13 saves for the Falcons, who will face No. 1 Pelham in the semifinals at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday at Bank of NH Stadium in Laconia.

No. 1 Pelham 12, No. 8 Plymouth 5

Aidan Cote had five goals and an assist to lead the top-seeded Pythons past the Bobcats.

Chris Swiniarski added two goals and four assists while Mason Frechette had two goals and two assists and Memphis Patterson also scored twice and an assist.

Russell Leonard also had a goal and Brad Sprague had two assists and eight groundballs while Matt Sprague was 20 of 21 on faceoffs.

No. 3 Hopkinton 11, No. 6 Coe-Brown 9

Soren Puc scored with 23 seconds left to break a tie game and give the Hawks a win over the Bears.

Puc also had an assist while Patty Buss had three goals and two assists and Jackson Westover had two goals and three assists for Hopkinton (12-3). Merrick Chapin had a goal and two assists and Ozzie Rosenholm also scored and won 15 of 21 faceoffs.

Colby Boissy finished with 19 saves and had an assist while Brayden Crawford, Kaleb Huse and Cam Bassett played well defensively.

Sam Frye led Coe-Brown (10-6) with three goals while Ryan Matson had two goals and an assist and Tully Keefe had a goal and two assists. Colby Strum had a goal and an assist and Joseph Fenton and AJ Kozlowski had a goal apiece.

Robert Lee also had an assist and Jack Matson made eight saves and had an assist.

Hopkinton will face No. 2 Campbell in the semifinals at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Bank of NH Stadium in Laconia.

Girls Lacrosse

No. 1 Winnacunnet 10, No. 4 Hanover 8

Shea Graham scored four goals and had an assist for the Warriors as they advanced to the D2 championship game with the win over the Bears.

Sky Mace added three goals and an assist for Winnacunnet (19-1, No. 6) while Emmy Granger, Sarah Rademacher and McKinley Fowler each had a goal.

Cadence Oleniak finished with eight saves for the Warriors, who will face No. 2 Windham in the title game at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Stellos Stadium in Nashua.

No. 3 Gilford 11, No. 2 Bow 10 (OT)

Liv Keenan had seven goals, including the game-winner, to help the Golden Eagles reach the D3 title game for the first time with a semifinal win over the Falcons.

Abby Watson had a goal and two assists, with one coming on Keenan’s winner, and Abby Normandin also had a goal and two assists. Leah Davignon added a goal and an assist while Avery Hennig also scored.

Calia Blackey and Lianna Keenan each had an assist while freshman McKenna Howard made her first start on defense and played well.

Gilford (14-2) will face No. 1 St. Thomas in the final at 6 p.m. Thursday at Bank of NH Stadium in Laconia.
