Around the Granite State: Pinkerton field hockey takes win against Londonderry
Here are results from Saturday’s high school field hockey action.
The Pinkerton Academy field hockey team scored twice in the first quarter to get a 2-0 win Saturday over Londonderry.
Meaghan Shea and Gwen Lee each had a goal while Jaelyn Crossman added an assist. Molly Kuncik recorded eight saves and Anna Perkins played well for the Astros (6-3, No. 6 in the NHHSSports Coaches Poll).
Salem 2, Merrimack 0
Avery Aliberti and Olivia Schoenrock had a goal apiece to lead the Blue Devils past the Tomahawks.
Abby Beeley and Piper Dezan each had an assist while Ella Mosto played well for Salem (4-6). Zeynep Yildirim finished with six saves.
No. 10 Hollis Brookline 10, Laconia 0
Sabrina Hill had three goals to help lead the Cavaliers to a road win over the Sachems.
Emily Tebbetts and Nyah Jernberg had two goals apiece while Addison Marchant, Anna McGurk and Megan Eckman also had a goal each.
Pelham 7, ConVal 1
Mya Dion had two goals as the Pythons picked up a win over the Cougars.
Kylie Almeida added a goal and an assist while Lyle Prince had two assists. Cassidy Harrington, Jordan Robito, Makenzie Comtois and Katelyn Hawley each had a goal and Sarah Coppinger had an assist.
Haley Samuelson had the lone goal for ConVal.
