Around the Granite State: Pinkerton girls basketball shoots way past Exeter (video)

DERRY – The Pinkerton Academy girls basketball team made 10 3-pointers to roll past Exeter for a 77-53 win Tuesday night.

Mia Marshall came off the bench to score a game-high 22 points, including four 3 -pointers, while Sydney Gerossie had 19 points, with three 3s, for the Astros (11-2).

Kaylee Dupuis also had two 3s and was in double figures with 13 points and Brooke Benz added 12 points.

The Blue Hawks (6-6) got 14 points from Anna McGuinness while Lexy Rogers added 11 points and Karli Scherpf finished with 10 markers. Nicole Melick chipped in with seven points.

Pinkerton led by five points after the first quarter and took control of the game by outscoring Exeter, 28-12, in the second.

Bedford 56, Nashua South 11

The Bulldogs led just 8-3 at the end of one, but outscored the Panthers 33-3 in the second on the way to the win.

Annie Zink led Bedford (13-0) with 12 points while Mel McCarthy and Kate Allard each had 11 points. Nine players scored for the Bulldogs.

South (6-7) got five points from Lexi McGuire.

Salem 72, Concord 33

Lindsay Goetz led four players in double figures as the Blue Devils snapped a three-game skid.

Goetz finished with 14 points while Lilly Goerge had 12 points, including two 3-pointers. Ella Mosto and Makayla Burns added 11 points a piece for Salem (8-5).

Abby Lash led Concord with 14 points, including four 3s, while Makayla Root added 12 points.

Winnacunnet 52, Spaulding 44

The Warriors jumped out to a 20-9 lead through one quarter and cruised past the Red Raiders.

Kaila Roy led Winnacunnet with 20 points, including two 3-pointers, and Cali Titcomb also had two 3s and finished with 10 points.

Spaulding got 17 points from Meagan Uraskevich and Damiya Perkins added 13 points.

Timberlane 58, Hollis Brookline 51

The Owls ended the third quarter on an 8-0 run to take a one-point lead into the fourth and held off the Cavaliers.

Ella Lampron scored 24 points to help lead Timberlane (8-6 in D1), which also got five 3-pointers and 19 points from Sam Mooney and nine points from Ana Stewart.

Anika Carlson led HB (6-5 in D2) with 16 points and Emily Tebbetts had 15 points, including three 3s, while Ana O’Donnell was in double figures with 11 markers.

Alvirne 55, Nashua North 52

The Titans saw their five-game win streak come to an end on the road against the Broncos.

Angela King had a big game for North (7-5) with 17 points, five assists and two steals.

Keene 73, Trinity 56

The Blackbirds snapped a five-game losing streak with a home win over the Pioneers.

Harper Zalaski had a double double to lead Keene (6-6), as she scored 29 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. Payton Margatis added 13 points and seven boards and McKenna Nelson was also in double figures with 11 points and she had four steals.

Pembroke 51, Souhegan 23

The Spartans broke the game open in the third quarter, outscoring the Sabers 18-6 on the way to the win.

Zofia Rosenfield led Souhegan with 13 points and 11 rebounds and Caroline Drum chipped in with six points.

Boys Basketball

Campbell 63, Conant 39

Luke Delia scored 24 points and had five steals to lead the Cougars (12-2) to a road win over the Orioles.

Jack Breton added 18 points, including four 3-pointers, and Cayden DeLeon had nine points and seven assists.

Bow 48, Merrimack Valley 45

The Pride dropped their first game at home this season, falling to the Falcons.

Aiden Gray led Merrimack Valley (8-3) with 17 points while Boston Bradicich was also in double figures with 10 points.

Windham 58, Londonderry 47

Jack Koutrobis scored 21 points to help the Jaguars hold off the Lancers.

Jack Murphy added 11 points for Windham (6-6) and Sam Roidoulis was also in double figures with 10 markers.

Alvirne 65, Nashua North 38

The Broncos won their fifth in a row by rolling past the Titans.

Garrett Hall led Alvirne (8-4) with 21 points and Sammy DeWitt added 15 points.

Belmont 59, Inter-Lakes 21

The Red Raiders made it seven-straight wins by beating the Lakers.

Keegan Martinez led the way for Belmont (14-1) with 15 points while Wyatt Carroll added nine points and Brady Thurber finished with eight markers.
