DERRY – The Pinkerton Academy girls basketball team had three players scored in double figures Monday afternoon on the way to a 74-50 win over Salem in a Division I game.

Elizabeth Lavoie scored 17 of her game-high 20 points in the first half while Sydney Gerossie and Brooke Benz each added 16 points for the Astros (10-0).

Lindsay Goetz led Salem (7-3) with 12 points while Lillian George had nine points and Caroline Case recorded eight, including two 3-pointers.

Alvirne 47, Manchester Memorial 43

The Crusaders shot just 4 of 16 from the free throw line in a road loss to the Broncos.

Jocelyn Eosue led Memorial with 16 points while NyAsia McKelvey had 14 points and 16 rebounds. Torle Adumene added nine points and nine rebounds.

Boys Basketball

St. Thomas 62, Derryfield 48

The Saints went on the road for a crossover game and handed the Cougars their first loss of the year.

Cole McClure led the way with 26 points for St. Thomas (11-1). James Allen added 15 points and Will Mollica had 10.

Girls Hockey

Kingswood 7, Manchester 3

Rylee Page had two goals, but Manchester came up short against Kingswood.

Ryleigh McNelly also scored for Manchester while Jamie Webster had an assist. Chloe Gilroy had 26 saves in goal.

Boys Hockey

Pinkerton 5, Bow 3

The Falcons fell behind early and a third-period rally wasn’t enough against the Astros.

Kian O’Leary made 20 saves for Bow (7-3) while Brodie O’Neil, Billy Smethurst and Owen Webber each had a goal.
