Around the Granite State: Pinkerton girls lacrosse rolls to win over Nashua South (video)

NASHUA – The Pinkerton Academy girls lacrosse team got out to a big lead in the first quarter and never looked back in a 13-3 win Friday night over Nashua South.

Rylee Robinson led the Astros (7-4, No. 4 in the new Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Coaches Poll) with three goals and an assist and Ava Michelinie also had three goals. Sookie Folsom and Ashley Morrison added two goals apiece while Francesca Doyle had a goal and two assists.

Grace Morrow and Melayna Marra added a goal apiece and Paige Fenner and Ada Judge combined on the win in goal.

The Panthers (7-3) got two goals from Wylie Hart, with Gemma Williams getting an assist on both. Aubrey Rose added her first career varsity goal and Emma Herlihy finished with eight saves.

Karina Santana and Nitzann Alkalay also played well defensively for South.

No. 3 Exeter 17, Dover 8

Riley Benevides scored six goals, including the 100th of her career, to help the Blue Hawks to the win over the Green Wave.

Phoebe Christenson added three goals and an assist Grace McIlroy had a goal and two assists for Exeter (8-4). Evie Lafreniere and Claire Wilhelm had two goals apiece while Josie Drunsic, Avery Carrigan and Racquel Battle each had a goal.

Brooke Battle chipped in with an assist while Molly Byrne and Maggie Lilly each had two saves.

Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough 19, Belmont 5

Aubrey Breese had six goals and four assists as the Lakers cruised to a win over the Red Raiders.

Kate Taylor, Summer Hammil and Brooke Tayloradded three goals apiece for ILMA (3-5) while Makayla Peterson added two goals and Avery Dubois scored her first of the season.

Audrey Gumpert finished with eight saves and Bella Kimball had a strong game on the draw.

Belmont (1-6) got goals from Brooke Muprhy, Brooke Varnum and Gabby Murphy while Shelby Mason had 19 saves. Reese Paquette, Morgan Schofield, Kira Perry, Ava Damon and Mia Kennison also played well.

St. Thomas 19, Pelham 5

Charlotte De Tolla had five goals and Talula Gregg scored four more to give the Saints the win over the Pythons.

Julie Bryan added three goals while Annita Parmelee and Charlotte Kelly had two goals apiece for St. Thomas (7-2). Izzy Taylor, Lena Shaheen and Kate Kreycik each had a goal.

Reese Foss made four saves while Payton Bakter and Jules Stowell played well defensively.

John Stark 15, Coe-Brown 12

Zoe Lawson scored seven goals, including the 200th point of her career, as the Generals knocked off the Bears.

Addy Brunini had two goals and three assists while Claudia Dustin had two goals and two assists and Aislyn Smith had two goals and one assist for John Stark (6-1).

Addie DeCew also had a goal and an assist while Hannah Perkins also scored. Rowin Ledy finished with nine saves.

Goffstown 17, Keene-Monadnock 3

Trinity Lunn and Mia Brisette had three goals and two assists apiece to lead the Grizzlies past the Blackbirds.

Ella Coletti (two assists), Paige Winters (one), Stella Enman and Lilli Connor had two goals apiece for Goffstown (5-2).

Sydney Lavoie added a goal and an assist while Maeve Hammond and Mackenna Fisher each had a goal. Jenna Shannon had three caused turnovers.

Boys Lacrosse

No. 7 Winnacunnet 17, Timberlane 4

Beckett Rath and Brian McCown each had four goals and three assists to lead the Warriors to a win over the Owls.

Spencer Zigler added two goals and an assist and Alec Mitchell also scored twice for Winnacunnet (7-1). Burke Spalding had a goal and an assist while Liam McNally, Michael Bramhall and Anthony Magri had a goal apiece.

Joel Williams got the win in goal while Evan Stamper, Jax Masse, Brock Emery and Junior Paschal played well defensively.

No. 6 Derryfield 19, Hollis Brookline 3

Ryan Maxwell and Dom Cercone each had four goals to help the Cougars get past the Cavaliers.

Maxwell also had five assists and Cercone had two helpers, while Heath Mueller (two assists) and Vittorio Masoni (one) each had three goals for Derryfield (9-1). Emerson Stover added a goal and three assists.

Sebastian Wright and Jackson Hatfield had a goal and an assist apiece and Garrett Lande dished out two assists. Mitch Labbe and Awaab Mousa each added a goal, with Hatfield and Mousa each going 10 for 11 on faceoffs while Isaac Kosakowski was 3 for 3.

Liam England made six saves and Ryder Proulx had four saves for the Cougars.

HB (3-5) got two goals from Bennett Torgersen and one from Bryce Cody. Levi Mitchell finished with eight saves.

No. 5 Portsmouth 12, Goffstown 3

Gus Baker and Chase Eberhardt each scored three goals as the Clippers got a road win over the Grizzlies.

Baker also had two assists and Eberhardt had one while Cortland Barr had a goal and two assists for Portsmouth (9-2). Nash Conklin, Miles Parker, Trevor Sifferlen and Sam Biddle had a goal and an assist apiece, while Biddle was also 13 of 14 on faceoffs.

Max Deneen added a goal and Max Russman added an assist while AJ Craig made nine saves. Cote Bellaud, Andy Brown and Luke Brandt played well defensively.

Gilford 4, Milford 3

Jack Fountaine had three goals and an assist to lead the Golden Eagles past the Spartans.

Lucas Raleigh added a goal and two assists while Liam Sullivan was 6 of 9 on faceoffs and Tim Macaione had seven saves for Gilford (3-5).

Milford (2-7) got a goal apiece from Braeden Orlen, Tyler Noble and Dylan MacLeod while Rocco Bartling finished with seven saves.

No. 1 Bishop Guertin 20, Nashua North 2

Josh Parsons made 17 saves for the Titans, including the 600th of his career, in a loss to the Cardinals.

Gavin Dungan and Nick Wilkinson had a goal apiece for North (2-8).

Bishop Brady 6, ConVal 5

Ray Weatherbee made 26 saves, including some key ones late, to help the Giants hold off the Cougars.

Joey Richardson added three goals and Ryan Haught had a goal and two assists for Bishop Brady (4-3).

Pelham 12, Laconia 8

CJ Sawyer scored three goals and had four assists to help the Pythons to the win over the Sachems.

Chris Swiniarski added two goals and four assists for Pelham (5-3) while Aidan Cote and Noah Johnson had three goals apiece. Will Jenavorian also had a goal in the win.

Mark Waden, Caedan Baisley, Nick Johnson and Don Peranelli played well defensively in front of goalie Jake Chafe.

No. 4 Exeter 20, Dover 6

Cooper Ketcham had two goals and two assists as the Green Wave fell to the Blue Hawks.

Logan Carter also had two goals while Parker Ketcham had a goal and an assist and Sylas Brown also scored for Dover (6-4). Porter Gray also had two assists and Danny Bretz recorded 19 saves.

No. 10 Londonderry 12, Keene-Monadnock 8

Brody Campbell had five goals and two assists to lead the Lancers to the win over the Blackbirds.

Mason Taylor added two goals and two assists for Londonderry (5-5) while Owen Huard and Trey Campbell had a goal and two assists apiece. Aidan Stowell, Hayden West and Ben Williams each added a goal.

Austin Callahan finished with two assists and JJ Digeorge also had a helper. Eli Bettencourt was 20 for 24 on faceoffs while Broch St. Gelais made 11 saves and Zach Needham and Braeden Ayers played well defensively.
