MANCHESTER – Romy Jain threw for three touchdown passes and JJ Bright had two scores on the ground, helping the Souhegan High School football team to a 53-0 win Friday night against Manchester West.

Jain completed 9 of 12 passes for 115 yards, with Cole Manning catching two passes for 17 yards, both for touchdowns. Bright had just 28 yards on the ground, but had touchdown runs of 19 and 7 yards.

Brayden Hickman added four catches for 59 yards, including a 3-yard touchdown catch, while Ryland Raudelunas had 83 yards rushing and a score and Michael Fiengo had 36 yards on the ground and a touchdown. Connor Cassidy also had a 50-yard punt return for a touchdown.

West (0-3) got a solid performance from quarterback Gio Doria, who completed 5 of 13 passes for 56 yards and an interception. Terrance Bovill had four catches for 37 yards.

Bedford 35, Keene 0

Brody Helton had a big game running the ball and the Bulldogs shut out the Blackbirds to go to 3-0 on the season.

Helton had 173 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries as Bedford ran for 300 yards, averaging 13.6 yards per carry. Bennett Matthews had a 23-yard touchdown run while Danny Black had a rushing touchdown and was 5 of 10 passing for 95 yards and an interception.

Landon Ellsmore caught two passes for 66 yards and had an interception on defense.

Field Hockey

No. 9 Souhegan 1, Goffstown 0

The Sabers got a goal from Ori Dart in the second quarter to get the win on the road against the Grizzlies.

Molly Braica played well in goal for Goffstown to keep it a one-goal game.

No. 1 Windham 8, Nashua North 0

Sophia Ponzini had four goals to lead the Jaguars to the win over the Titans.

Aly Sinopoli, Sophie Manchester, Ella Reeners and Ava Pelletier added a goal apiece for Windham (6-0). Julianna Vougias earned the save in goal and Chloe Hall also played well in the win.

No. 6 Pinkerton 3, No. 5 Winnacunnet 2

Jaelyn Crossman had two goals to help the Astros hand the Warriors their first loss of the year.

Ava Bennett picked up two assists, including one on the game-winner, scored by Hannah Lisauskas with 9:03 left in the third quarter. Paige Murray also had an assist and Elise LeBlanc made 14 saves.

Meg Shea, Caitlyn Lemay and Natalie Paradzick played well for Pinkerton.

Emerson Parish had both goals for the Warriors with Jen Frost recording an assist. Brianna Brown and Amber Morgado combined for 12 saves.

Keene 10, Manchester Memorial 0

Tessa Pearson had two goals and two assists to lead the Blackbirds past the Crusaders.

Maddie Boudle added two goals and an assist and Cece Walier also scored twice. Olive Thatcher had a goal and two assists while Maya Stebbins had a goal and an assist and Kate Beard scored.

Paige Davis, Emily Antosiewicz, Avery Allaire, Camille Hanson, Liz Hutchins, Sofia Miller and Mackenna Nelson each had an assist. Trinity Williamson and Lilly Rowell combined on the shutout.

Oyster River 9, Milford 0

The Spartans suffered the loss, with Violet Renda making 10 saves and Ari Wales stopping two shots.

Girls Volleyball

Hollis Brookline 3, Nashua South 0

The Cavaliers improved to 4-1 on the season with the sweep of the Panthers. Game scores were 25-15, 25-11 and 25-21.

Annette Schlunk had 13 kills and two aces for HB while Maggie Noble had seven kills and two aces. Lolly Adair recorded six kills and a block and Malaya Colena had four aces while Libby Getter had 38 assists and two aces.

Portsmouth Christian 3, Raymond 0

The Eagles went to 2-2 on the year with a sweep of the Rams. Game scores were 25-15, 25-17 and 25-19.

Heidi Geyer had eight kills and five digs and Quinn Arico had three kills, 11 assists, nine aces and one block. Madelyn Hardy recorded three kills and Kailey Holt had three aces, seven assists and 11 aces.
