Around the Granite State: Souhegan girls basketball bounces back with win
Here are results from Friday night’s high school basketball action.
Brynn Siska scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds to help lead the Souhegan High School girls basketball team to a 57-44 win Friday over Oyster River.
Nayaa Dineshkumar recorded 12 points and eight rebounds to help the Sabers (7-4) bounce back from a loss to Hollis Brookline on Tuesday. Lanai Hickman was also in double figures with 10 points while Natalie Bryan had five points and played well defensively.
The Bobcats (7-4) got 13 points from Ashling Ferris and Jazzy Alvarez added 12 points. Avery Biggwither scored eight points and Wren Horne had six markers for Oyster River.
Timberlane 65, Concord 40
Rylee Donahue scored 37 points to help the Owls beat the Crimson Tide and pick up their sixth win in a row.
Donahue was 13 of 15 from the free throw line for Timberlane (8-3) while Sam Mooney added 15 points and Lila Fitzgerald recorded six. The Owls led 42-19 at halftime.
Concord (0-11) got 12 points from Camryn Dubois, as she hit four 3-pointers.
Exeter 49, Winnacunnet 30
Lexy Rogers scored 18 points and had four steals to help lead the Blue Hawks past the Warriors.
Jessica Melick had a double double for Exeter (7-4), scoring 10 points and grabbing 14 rebounds to go with six steals. Nicole Melick scored 12 points and dished out four assists while Emme Kayes led the defense and scored four points.
Londonderry 53, Pinkerton 31
The Astros saw their three-game win streak come to an end in a road loss to the Lancers.
Brooke Benz had 16 points to lead Pinkerton (7-6) while Avryee Hamilton added seven points.
Bedford 66, Goffstown 15
Eva Zink and Mel McCarthy each had 11 points to help lead the Bulldogs a win over the Grizzlies.
Sarah Muir added 10 points for Bedford (10-1) while Annie Zink and Maddie Lacroix each had two 3-pointers and eight points apiece.
Goffstown (3-8) got four points from Reece Still while Jenna Shannon and Mia Brissette had three points apiece.
Windham 42, Salem 34
The Blue Devils fell to the Jaguars despite getting 15 points from Nicole Ringdahl.

Windham 55, Salem 47
The Jaguars won for the fourth time in their last five games with a win over the Blue Devils.
Brandon Jacobs had 21 points to lead Windham (8-4) while Sam Roidoulis scored 14 points.
Belmont 74, Newfound 52
The Red Raiders improved to 13-0 on the season with the win over the Bears.
Evan Martinez led the way with 26 points for Belmont while Brody Ennis scored 18 points.
