Around the Granite State: Souhegan girls lacrosse beats Nashua South for 3rd straight win (video)
Here are results for Wednesday’s high school sports action.
AMHERST – The Souhegan High School girls lacrosse team rolled to a 15-5 win Wednesday over Nashua South on a day when players from both teams reached a milestone.
Emma Kennedy scored four goals, including the 100th goal of her high school career, and had an assist for the Sabers (3-1, No. 6 in the NHHSSports Coaches Poll). Izzy Stevenson also had four goals and Libby Kennedy added three goals and an assist.
Lyla Kimball chipped in two goals and an assist while Abby Giannetti had a goal and an assist and Lanai Hickman also scored. Catie Schriever had six saves while Sophie Jacobs and Allison Jordan played well.
For Nashua South (3-1, No. 5), Ella Benzekri scored her 200th career goal. Karina O’Donnell had three goals and Morgan Uzdanovich also scored while Keira Walsh made seven saves.

Merrimack Valley 11, Hollis Brookline 7
Sabrina Hill had two goals and two assists, but it wasn’t enough for the Cavaliers against the Pride (3-1).
Samantha Smith added three goals and Cailean Roy had a goal and an assist. Juliette Ogren also scored and McKenna Maguire also played well. Addy Dougherty finished with six saves for HB (1-1).
Trinity 13, Campbell 12 (OT)
Ava Grant had six goals and two assists for the Cougars, but the Pioneers were able to take the win in overtime.
Maddie Cuvelier added three goals while Abby Guerette, Melina Girgis and Callie Hoover had a goal apiece.
Bow 15, Derryfield 4
Maddy Paolino, Courtney Wold, Lilly Handwerk and Chloe Bremberg each had a goal for the Cougars, but the Falcons (4-0) came out on top.
Lily Kfoury made nine saves for Derryfield (2-2) while Bri Murray also played well.
Pelham 13, Milford 3
The Pythons (3-1) won their third game in a row by beating the Spartans.
Sophia Joncas and Ella Desimone had three goals apiece and Brianna Wood scored twice. Katherine Caroll and Julianna Rocha each had a goal and Kate Burke had five assists.
Addie Breault finished with six saves and Emma Bowlan had three.
Spaulding 11, ConVal 6
The Red Raiders picked up their first win of the season, getting five goals from Kate McCawley.
Molli Gould and Sarah Lin had two goals apiece and Aivah Helton and Rachel Baughman each added a goal. Izzy Orrell made eight saves.
Timberlane 15, Salem 6
Maia Parker had five goals to lead the Owls to a win over the Blue Devils.
Lila Fitzgerald (one assist) and Lily Brien added three goals apiece while Anne Quinn had two goals. Ella Watts and Lulu Trasatti each chipped in with a goal while Ella Lampron also played well.
Bella Hughes finished with nine saves while Parker (three), Quinn (five), Lampron (three) and Fitzgerald (two) combined for 13 draw controls.
Boys Lacrosse
No. T3 Bedford 18, Lexington (Mass.) 8
The Bulldogs improved to 3-0 with a convincing win over the Minutemen.
Sam Barad scored five goals to lead Bedford and Luke Purnell added four goals. Bennett Matthews (one assist) and JJ Gaffney each had two goals and Derek Kulesza had a goal and three assists.
Brody Helton had a goal and two assists and Kevin Mastrodicasa and Brian Riccio had a goal apiece.
Lexington (3-2) got three goals and an assist from Sean Crogan while Cooper Ray had two goals. John Donaghy, Caleb Ford and Nolan Kingsburgh also had a goal apiece.
No. T3 Derryfield 18, Souhegan 0
Dom Cercone had three goals and three assists to lead the Cougars past the Sabers.
Alex Murray added four goals and John Kramer had two goals and three assists. Brady Doldo (assist) and Michael Grunbeck had two goals apiece and Cooper Ketcham had a goal and two assists. Logan Dyer, Ryan Maxwell and Max Fowler had a goal and an assist each while Chili Cabot scored.
Logan Purvis was 10 for 10 on faceoff, while he and Dylan Clyne and Jackson Hatfield went 19 of 22. Parker Lebiedz made three saves, while Jaxon DeYoung had two and Liam England added one.
Souhegan (1-2) got seven saves from Louis Astrella.
Windham 14, Salem 2
The Jaguars picked up their second win in as many days, beating the Blue Devils behind four goals from Matt Desmarais.
Ryan Parke and Nate Crowley each had two goals and five assists while Sam Kramer had three goals and two assists for Windham.
Pelham 16, Milford 1
Braydon Atwood had the lone goal for the Spartans in a road loss to the Pythons.
Bow 16, Stevens 1
The Falcons got goals from eight players as they cruised past the Cardinals.
Niko Mallios (one assist) and Cam Czarnosz each had three goals to lead Bow (3-1) while Gavin McCabe scored two goals and had an assist. Kyle Cimis also had two goals and a helper while Parker Kazanowski added a goal and an assist while Jake Antuna also had a goal and an assist.
Brodie O’Neil and Massimo Palelli had a goal apiece while Antuna, Palelli, Josiah Funches and Caleb Schumacher combined to go 18 of 21 on faceoffs. Brad Ekstrom and Lucas Nowakowski combined for six saves.
Hollis Brookline 15, Nashua North 3
The Cavaliers got the win over the Titans behind a five-goal performance from Bennett Torgersen.
Ben Dufoe and Connor Cook had three goals and an assist apiece while JP Torgersen, Colin Magnuszewski, Mike O’Hearn and Vittorio Masoni each scored a goal. Charlie Dee made eight saves and Rudy Rose and Cayden Emmons played well.
North got two goals from Alec Jenkerson and Dylan Noble added a goal. Jace Colon and Josh Parsons split time in goal and each made six saves.
Laconia 8, Lebanon 2
Eli Nadeau had five goals and two assist to lead the Sachems to a win over the Raiders.
Brody Rollins added two goals for Laconia while JP Harriman had a goal and an assist. Brady Stevens and Sam Mize each chipped in with an assist.
Campbell 16, Trinity 0
The Cougars got goals from 11 players in a win over the Pioneers.
Andrew Willnus had two goals and two assists and Cruz Sandquist had two goals and one assist while Scott Hershberger, Brandon Portillo and Tyler Breton each scored twice.
Hunter Grant had a goal and an assist while Nate Lencki, Alex Kirby, Lucas Craig, Trey Cardinal and Evan Molino had a goal apiece. Craig was also 14 of 17 on faceoffs while Will O’Brien made three saves and Tyson Landry also played well.
No. 9 Londonderry 9, Framingham (Mass.) 6
The Lancers picked up their second win of the week, handing the Flyers their first loss of the year.
Colby Walden had four goals and an assist to lead Londonderry (2-1) while Parker Lewis added two goals and an assist. Cam Ayotte, Sam Melia and Blake Thompson recorded a goal apiece.
Cam Brutus finished with two assists and Logan Huard also had a helper while Nathan Barette made seven saves.
