Around the Granite State: Timberlane girls lacrosse bounces back to beat Dover (video)
Here are results from Tuesday’s high school lacrosse action.
PLAISTOW – The Timberlane Regional High School girls lacrosse team bounced back from its first loss of the season in convincing fashion Tuesday morning, pulling away in the second half to beat Dover 12-4.
The Owls (6-1, No. 10 in the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Coaches Poll), who dropped their first game of the season Monday to Winnacunnet, outscored the Green Wave, 6-0, in the second half to break open what was a two-goal game at halftime.
Rylee Donahue had three goals, seven draw controls and three caused turnovers while Lila Fitzgerald also had three goals and three draw controls for Timberlane. Julia Johnson also scored twice and Ava Paul and Aubrey Fitzgerald had a goal and an assist apiece.
Mia Morrier added a goal and two groundballs and Alexa Ring also scored. Kasey Fitzgerald played well on defense and Kayla Apitz finished with eight saves.
Dover (2-4) got two goals from Khloe Healy while Sydney Lane and Meredith Toland had a goal apiece. Reese Sanders, Kyra Small and Kaitlyn Bastille added an assist each and Leighton Kelly had seven saves.
No. 7 Bishop Guertin 8, Concord 3
The Cardinals led 3-0 after one quarter and then had to grind out a win over the Crimson Tide.
Charlotte Accomando had four goals to lead Bishop Guertin (5-2) and Lola Dumont added two scores. Bella Dawson had a goal and an assist and Mia Yakuboff also scored while Sam Butler chipped in with an assist and Emma Smith made four saves.
Malie Ramshaw had two goals for Concord (1-4) while Sydney Brown also had a goal and Amelia Crumrine recorded an assist. Mia Gratton finished with 17 saves.

Boys Lacrosse
No. 5 Portsmouth 17, Pembroke 4
The Clippers got four goals and an assist from Nash Conklin and three goals and an assist from Miles Parker in a win over the Spartans.
Gis Baker added two goals and three assists and Max Russman (one assist), Trevor Sifferlen and Thayer Parkington each had two goals while Max Deneen had a goal and two assists for Portsmouth (7-0)
Josh Cole had a goal and an assist while Chase Eberhardt, Sam Biddle and Cortland Barr had a goal apiece. Cooper Ferragamo finished with six saves.
No. 6 Derryfield 19, Souhegan 1
The Cougars got goals from 11 players as they rolled to a win over the Sabers.
Ryan Maxwell led the way with three goals while Heath Mueller had two goals and four assists and Dom Cercone had two goals and two assists for Derryfield (5-1). Garrett Lande, Vittorio Masoni (one assist), Awaab Mousa (one assist) and Sebastian Wright added two goals apiece.
Alex May and Emerson Stover had a goal and an assist each and Mitch Labbe and Charlie Rousseau each had a goal. Mousa was 11 of 14 on faceoffs and Jackson Hatfield was 6 of 8 while Ryder Proulx had five saves and Liam England made two saves.
Jud Harris had the lone goal for Souhegan (2-4) while Sean Reardon had five saves and Harrison Towne had one.
St. Thomas 10, Timberlane 5 (Monday)
The Owls fell on the road to the Saints, getting two goals apiece from Landon Petry and Aiden Davern while Gio Recesso had one goal.
