The Nashua High School South girls basketball team opened the season Tuesday with a 34-26 win at home over Manchester Memorial.

Karina O’Donnell led the Panthers (1-0 in Division I) with 11 points and five rebounds. Addie Borden added nine points and seven boards for South and Morgan Gillis had five points and eight rebounds.

Memorial (0-1) got 10 points and 15 rebounds from NyAsia McKelvey and Payton Moran had six points and five steals.

Bedford 68, Manchester Central-West 11

All 12 players that saw the floor scored for the Bulldogs, with Kate Allard leading the way with 16 points.

Lyla Stein added nine points and Lana McCarthy and Sarah Muir each had eight for Bedford (1-0 in D1). Devlyn McDonald also had seven markers and Bella Landies had six.

Ayak Ringador, Cianna Lukegord and Adrianna Perron each had three points for Central-West (0-1).

Portsmouth 75, Alvirne 38

The Clippers (1-0 in D1) got 20 points from Margaret Montplaisir as they opened the season with a win over the Broncos (0-1).

Avery Romps added 15 points for Portsmouth while Maddie MacCannell and Aundrea Ingram each had nine.

Milford 47, ConVal 10

LuLu Maguire had 17 points and eight steals to help lead the Spartans (1-0 in D2) to a win over the Cougars.

Avery Fuller had 10 points and 13 rebounds and Ellianna Nassy recorded 14 points and four steals for Milford. Shea Hansen (five assists) and Claire Cote (four rebounds) each had four points.

Bow 51, John Stark 38

Avery Geaumont and Eleanor Girardet each had nine points for the Generals (0-1 in D2), but it wasn’t enough in a season-opening loss to the Falcons.

Boys Basketball

Bow 56, John Stark 50

Jake Reardon had 29 points to help lead the Falcons (1-0 in D2) to a win over the Generals to open the season.

Logan Montgomery led John Stark (0-1) with 22 points.

St. Thomas 63, Campbell 54

Will Mollica had 22 points for the Saints (2-0 in D3), as they picked up a road win over the Cougars.

Cole McClure added 17 points for St. Thomas in the win.

Merrimack 57, Keene 45

Ryan Elliot hit a 3-pointer at the end of the third quarter to give the Tomahawks momentum to finish out a win over the Blackbirds.

Mike Flerra had 12 points for Merrimack (1-0 in D1) and David Roy had 11 points while Elliot finished with nine.

Keene (0-1) got 17 points from Javon Massiah and nine from Fitch Hennessy.

Profile 92, Pittsburg-Canaan 48

The Patriots (3-0 in D4) had eight players hit at least one 3-pointer in the road win over the Panthers.

Josh Robie, Alex Leslie and Karsen Robie each had 20 points to lead Profile.

Girls Hockey

Manchester 8, Souhegan 1

Ryleigh McNelly had two goals and an assist to help lead the Kings to a season-opening win against the Sabers.

Jamie Webster and Rylee Page also had two goals apiece for Manchester while Catherine Tenn and Nevaeh Marineau each had a goal. Chloe Gilroy made 15 saves and had an assist while Sasha Slivinskaya also had a helper.
