Around the Granite State: Tuesday’s Roundup
The Coe-Brown Academy boys lacrosse team got out to a 10-5 lead through three quarters and held off a late Milford run to pick up a 12-11 win in Division III action on Tuesday.
Jacob Radwan led the way for the Bears (3-1) with three goals and an assist while Sam Godwin, Ryan Whitcher and Cole Hodgdon had two goals apiece.
Ben Watson, Wells Lambert and Ben Heyligger also scored a goal each and Zach Sheehan made 21 saves.
Gavin Urda led Milford (2-2) with four goals and an assist while Cam O’Shaughnessy had a goal and three assist and Riley O’Shaughnessy and Owen Hutchinson had two goals apiece.
Liam Joyner added two assists for the Spartans and Matt Hannon and Jakob Fantasia had an assist each. Tom Gagnon made 14 saves for Milford.
Girls Lacrosse
Nashua South 12, Manchester Central 8
Kirsten McIntire had five goals and four assists to lead the Panthers to a win over the Little Green.
Liz Harrington added four goals and two assists for South (3-5) while Sarah Signorello had two goals and Calley Goulet picked up her first goal of the year.
Abbey Rowe made 10 saves for the Panthers and Izzy Bolduc played well defensively, forcing six turnovers.
Softball
Hollis Brookline 9, Manchester West 6
Gabby Paquin went six innings to pick up the win for the Cavaliers, as she struck out three, and Marisa Brickner earned the save.
Savanna Bent, Kara Lukovits and Skylar Mack had two hits each and Delayni Kovalchek had three RBIs.
Bedford 5, Manchester Memorial 3
The Bulldogs moved to 2-3 on the season behind a big day from Erin Murphy, as she hit two home runs and drove in all five Bedford runs.
Morgan Fraitzl scored two runs and had a hit and a walk, while Erica Barley walked and scored a run. Maddie Fraitzl got the win, striking out five.
Heather Cloutier hit a two-run home run for Memorial in the fourth inning that gave the Crusaders a 3-0 lead.
