Around the Granite State: Wednesday’s Rounup
Kennedy Wright scored the game-winning goal early in the second half and the Bishop Guertin High School field hockey team defeated Concord 3-2 in Division I action Wednesday.
Brooke Yabroudy and Emily Foltan also had a goal each for the Cardinals while Lindsay Hult, Sarah Coyle and Emily Lisi would all record an assist. Monina Tosi made three shots for Bishop Guertin.
Concord got two goals from Carly Torrence and Ella Doherty added an assist. Felicity Wheldon made six saves in goal for the Crimson Tide.
Girls Volleyball
Hollis Brookline 3, Manchester Central 0
The Cavaliers improved to 10-0 on the season with the sweep of the Little Green. Scores were 25-15, 25-8 and 25-8.
Amanda Elvins and Elizabeth Bonnette had four kills apiece and Ashley Burtt added three kills. Angelina Leonard had 27 assists and Jess Cooper recorded five digs.
Bishop Guertin 3, Alvirne 0
The Cardinals picked up their seventh straight win with a sweep of the Broncos. Scores were 25-10, 25-16 and 25-19.
Alicia Glasheen had 36 assists, six aces, five digs and three kills for Bishop Guertin (8-1) while Libby Knapp had 13 digs, nine kills and three aces. Rita Dow added seven kills and two aces and Paola Matos had 15 digs.
