The Souhegan High School girls hockey team picked up its first win of the season Saturday, an 8-2 win over Bedford, behind a hat trick from Clare Woodford.
Woodford had three goals and an assist and Shannon Paquette had two goals as the Sabers (1-1) scored all eight of their goals in the first four minutes of each period.
Ryleigh Tobin added a goal and an assist while Julia Pinkham and Simonne Dodge also had a goal each and Abby Hawkes had an assist. Avery Karavas made her first start in goal and made four saves.
Bedford (0-2) got a goal each from Kendall Cassidy and Danielle Lucy.

Wrestling
HB takes third at Nor’Easter
The Hollis Brookline wrestling team finished in third place in a 22-team field at the Nor’Easter Invitational. Winning the lone championship for the Cavaliers was Zack Brickner (182 pounds) with a 9-8 win over Sterling McLaughlin, of Pinkerton.
Also placing for HB were Scott Anneser (160) and Owen MacMillan (220) in third place, as well as Seth Ponders (106), Troy Moscatelli (120), and Tyler St. Pierre (170) in fourth place.
