WINDHAM – The Windham High School boys basketball team jumped out to an early lead and cruised Tuesday night to a 76-50 win over Portsmouth in Division I action.

Jack Koutrobis scored a game-high 16 points while Jack Begley added 12 points and Ben Roy and Tyler Jordan (three 3-pointers) each had 11 points. The Jaguars (8-3) hit six 3s and led 22-8 after one quarter and led by as many as 32 points in the second half.

Portsmouth (7-4) got 11 points from Isaiah Reis while Aiden Thomas added 10 points. Cote Bellaud and Miles de Iongh had six points apiece. The Clippers were 17 of 29 from the free throw line.

Merrimack 59, Londonderry 52

The Tomahawks picked up a win at home over the Lancers behind 17 points from Jackson Rosa.

Logan Day also played well for Merrimack, which improved to 5-6 on the year.

Ty Miles had a game-high 20 points for Londonderry (4-7) while Mason Paquette added 18 points.

Girls Basketball

Portsmouth 60, Windham 43

The Clippers outscored the Jaguars 18-2 in the fourth quarter to get a win in D1 action.

Avery Romps led Portsmouth with 18 points and Margaret Montplaisir added 17 points while Maddie MacCannell chipped in 12 points.

Windham got 14 points and eight rebounds from Kate Carboni while Avery Steffanides had 13 points and Paige Carboni added five points and 11 boards.

Bedford 78, Winnacunnet 20

The Bulldogs had four players score in double figures in a win over the Warriors.

Lana McCarthy led the way with 17 points while Megan Muir had 12 markers. Lyla Stein and Kate Allard added 10 points apiece and Mel McCarthy had eight.

Winnacunnet got six points from Amiyah Melaugh and four from Kaila Roy.

Girls Hockey

St. Thomas-Winnacunnet-Dover 6, Manchester 3

Rylee Page scored two goals for Manchester, but it wasn’t enough.

Jamie Webster also had a goal while Chloe Gilroy made 25 saves.
