Around the Granite State: Windham boys basketball takes care of business (video)
Here are results from Saturday’s high school basketball action.
DERRY – Brandon Jacobs scored 18 points to help lead the Windham High School boys basketball team to a 64-37 win Saturday afternoon over Londonderry at Pinkerton Academy.
Jacobs hit four of the Jaguars’ 10 3-pointers, while Sam Roidoulis added 14 points and Matthew Hennessey made three 3-pointers for nine points. Jack Steffanides, Tyler Jordan and Neil Finneran also had a 3 apiece.
Windham (4-1) held Londonderry to just 15 points in the first half to pick up the win on the second of two days of Rivalry Week.
Casey Marsh led the Lancers (2-3) with 10 points while Davis Magarian had eight points and Benjamin Sakellar finished with six points.
Girls Basketball
Trinity 49, Exeter 45 (OT)
The Blue Hawks came up short against the Pioneers at the Derryfield Cougar Classic Holiday Tournament.
Lexy Rogers had 22 points and six rebounds to lead Exeter while Jessica Melick had seven points and 11 rebounds. Nicole Melick and Ella Campbell had five points apiece in the loss.
Oyster River 57, Kearsarge 35
The Bobcats outscored the Cougars 31-11 in the second half to get the win at the Bobcat Holiday Classic.
Wren Horne had 14 points to lead Oyster River while Ashling Ferris and Avery Biggwither each had 11 points. Payton Drapeau was also in double figures with 10 points and Jazzy Alvarez had eight.
