Around the Granite State: Windham boys lacrosse gets win over Merrimack (video)

WINDHAM – The Windham High School boys lacrosse team broke open Thursday’s game in the second quarter on the way to an 11-3 win over Merrimack.

Josh Trudel had four goals and two assists and Evan Ardizzone had four goals and one assist for the Jaguars (7-3), who have won four games in a row. Sam Kramer also had two goals and two assist while Cameron Terry added a goal.

Ethan Peluso added 10 groundballs and Jack Tanso made seven saves.

Mason Tremblay had 12 saves for Merrimack (6-4, No. 9 in the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Coaches Poll).

No. 2 Pinkerton 14, No. 10 Londonderry 3 

Matt Gormady had six goals and an assist to help the Astros get a road win over the Lancers.

Levi Weaver added four goals while Gavin Burwell had 12 saves for Pinkerton (9-1). Nate Smith had five groundballs and two caused turnovers and Brendon Carney had four groundball and two caused turnovers.

Dylan Stingel and Tyler Pinardi shared faceoff duties.

Bishop Brady 6, Gilford 5

The Giants got a close road win over the Golden Eagles.

Ryan Haught had four goals and Jonah VanderHooven scored two goals and had an assist for Bishop Brady (3-3). Ray Weatherbee finished with 16 saves.

The Golden Eagles (2-5) got three goals from Lucas Raleigh while Liam Sullivan had two goals and five groundballs. Kael Weber added four groundballs and four caused turnovers.

Coe-Brown 20, Kennett 4

The Bears continued to roll as they got a win over the Eagles.

Robert Lee had four goals and an assist and Sam Frye also had four goals to lead Coe-Brown (8-0). Joseph Fenton added three goals and three assists and Colby Strum chipped in three goals.

Garrett Ward scored twice while Glenn Papineau had a goal and two assists and Myles Brackett had a goal and an assist. Jack Therrien and Ashton Bethke while Landon Midwood, Charles Frye and Bodie Audet each had an assist.

Jackson Alie finished with five saves and Miles Vega added one save.

Kennett (4-2) got two goals from Bryce Needham while Jason Baker and Carter Stearns had a goal apiece.

Oyster River-Newmarket 15, Timberlane 14 (OT)

Jayden Smart scored three goals, including the game-winner in overtime, to give the Bobcats the road win over the Owls.

Blake Callander had four goals and Jeff Keyes had three goals and three assists for ORN (4-3). Dee Tsakiris added two goals and three assists and Alex Moody had two goals and an assist while Kavi Weber also scored. Toby Berger-Killough added two assists.

Timberlane (3-4) got five goals and three assists from Landon Petry while Rocco Psareas had five goals and two assists. Gavin Dubois and Cole Rego had a goal and an assist and Dylan Linblad also scored. Ryan Bazidane finished with 14 saves.

Girls Lacrosse

No. 4 Pinkerton 8, No. 6 Londonderry 7

Rylee Robinson and Sookie Folsom each had two goals to help the Astros get the win over the Lancers.

Melyana Marra, Francesca Doyle, Ashley Clouthier and Ashley Morrison added a goal apiece for Pinkerton (6-4). Paige Fenner recorded five saves.

Merrimack 13, Kingswood 9

Riley Taylor scored eight goals as the Tomahawks held off the Knights for a win.

Taylor also had two assists and 11 draw controls while Lyla Carls had two goals and two assists and Ava Woods also scored twice for Merrimack (7-2). Liv Dine also scored a goal and Liv Mitchell had an assist.

Sophia Richard had five saves for the Tomahawks.

Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough 21, Campbell 7

The Lakers had 11 players score goals in a win over the Cougars.

Kate Taylor led the way with seven goals and Makayla Peterson added five goals for ILMA (2-5). Aubrey Bresse scored four goals and Alyssa Snow three goals while Brynn Moore and Brooke Taylor had a goal apiece.
