Around the Granite State: Windham boys lacrosse closes regular season with win over Nashua South (video)

WINDHAM – The Windham High School boys lacrosse team wrapped up its regular season Wednesday with a 16-5 win over Nashua South.

Cam Terry led the Jaguars (9-7) with four goals while Josh Trudel had three goals and three assists and Evan DellOrfano had three goals and two assists. Evan Ardizzone also scored three times and Sam Kramer had a goal and two assists.

Ethan Peluso had a goal and three groundballs and Sam Bouchard scored his first varsity goal while Trevor Labonville had an assist. Nolan Lamb also had a helper and two groundballs and Jack Tanso finished with 12 saves.

The Panthers (7-10) got three goals and two assists from Owen Roy while Grant Imbeault had a goal and an assist. Braedyn Thyne also had a goal while Chase Rioux and Raiden Nuy-Chao each had an assist.

Bryce Stuart finished with 10 saves for South, which will finish its regular season Friday against Nashua North.

Bishop Brady 8, Trinity 5

Joey Richardson had three goals and an assist to lead the Giants to a win over the Pioneers.

Ryan Haught also scored three goals and Jonah Vander Hoovne chipped in a goal for Bishop Brady (9-6).

No. 1 Pinkerton 25, Nashua North 2

The Astros got six goals and two assists from Matt Gormady as they wrapped up their regular season with a win over the Titans.

Matt Boudros added five goals and Levi Weaver had two goals and two assists for Pinkerton (15-3, No. 1 in the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Coaches Poll). Caleb Hobden also had three goals and a caused turnover.

Gavin Burwell and Langdon O’Donnel combined in goal for the win while Brendan Carney and Nate Smith played well defensively. Bentley Blair and Nick Phelps also played well for the Astros.

North (5-12) got a goal apiece from Nick Wilkinson and Jared Gauthier while Josh Parsons made 16 saves.

Timberlane 14, Souhegan 6

Rocco Psareas had six goals and four assists to help the Owls to a win over the Sabers.

Landon Petry added five goals and four assists for Timberlane (8-6) while Gio Recesso added two goals. Aidan Davern also scored in the win.

Souhegan (3-11) got five goals from Judd Harris while Rob Goodhue also scored. Sean Reardon and Conall Steeves each had seven saves.

Merrimack 16, Manchester 2

Cayden Dine and Sean Anderson each had five goals and two assists to lead the Tomahawks to a win over the Kings.

Gabe Gorman scored four goals and had an assist and Gavin Hickey had two assists for Merrimack (10-7). Josh Kahn had a goal and an assist and Cash Torres scored his first varsity goal while teaming with Reid Guidish and Hunter Laflotte to win 19 faceoffs.

Austin Kovaliv and Conor Marshall each had an assist while Mason Tremblay made seven saves and Seamus Hickey had four saves.

No. 8 Dover 17, Salem 7

Logan Carter had six goals and two assists as the Green Wave wrapped up their regular season with a win over the Blue Devils.

Cooper Ketcham added three goals and four assists and Parker Ketcham had two goals and five assists for Dover (12-5). Porter Gray had three goals and an assist in the win.

Geffin Adorian and Finn Joyce had a goal and an assist while Sylas Brown added a goal and Dylan Hodge scored his first varsity goal. Danny Bretz made 10 saves and Owen Wood won 77 percent of his faceoffs.

In the win, Carter reached 60 goals for the year and 150 career points while Cooper Ketcham hit 100 points on the season and 250 for his career.

Kearsarge 8, Milford 4

Bentley Bowers had two goals to lead the Spartans in a loss to the Cougars.

Braeden Orlen and Josh Clark had a goal apiece and Jamie Noble had an assist for Milford (3-13). Rocco Bartling recorded 10 saves for the Spartans.

No. 9 Londonderry 21, Concord 8

Trey Campbell had nine goals to lead the Lancers past the Crimson Tide.

Brody Campbell added four goals and an assist and Aidan Stowell also scored four goals for Londonderry (10-7). Owen Huard had two goals and three assists in the win.

Austin Callahan (one assist) and Aidan Marshall also had a goal apiece while Hayden West dished out three assists and Mason Taylor had two helpers. Eli Bettencourt won 90 percent of his faceoffs and Griffin Cunningham played a strong game on the wing and defense.

Broch St. Gelais and Justin Doyle combined for nine saves while Lowell Lees, JJ Digeorge, Braden Ayers and Sage Peterson also played well for the Lancers.

John Stark 15, Kennett 3

Connor Carson finished with seven points and Charlie Pierce had six points to lead the Generals to a win over the Eagles.

Cooper Twombly added five points and Derek Tetro had four points for John Stark (5-9) while Cam Shaw scored two goals and Lyncoln Jablonski also had a goal.

Miller Twombly recorded an assist while Shane Brunini had eight groundballs and Wyatt Puza had six. Parker Hamel finished with 14 saves while Brady Borla, Declan Osborne and Will Donoghue played well defensively.

Girls Lacrosse

No. 10 Nashua South 13, Windham 8

NASHUA – Carly Benzekri scored eight goals to help lead the Panthers past the Jaguars.

Gemma Williams added four goals and an assist and Wylie Hart also scored for South (10-6). Emma Herlihy had six saves while Maddie Langer, Nitzann Alkalay, Karina Santana and Lexi McGuire played well defensively.

No. 2 Souhegan 18, Bedford 7

The Sabers had three players each scored five goals as they rolled to a win over the Bulldogs.

Emmie Curran had five goals and an assist while Libby Kennedy and Averie Curran each scored five times for Souhegan (14-1). Izzy Stevenson had a goal and five assists while Lanai Hickman had two goals and an assist and Abbey Gray also recorded a helper.

Bedford (8-8) got four goals from Eloise Montagano and three assists from Carly Hodgdon-Rogers whie Liza Montagano had a goal and an assist. Mary Lenti and Paige Gibson also scored for the Bulldogs.

St. Thomas 22, Pembroke 6

Talula Gregg and Lizzy Holden each had four goals for the Saints as they knocked off the Spartans.

Julia Bryan added three goals while Charlotte De Tolla and Kate Kreycik had a pair of goals apiece for St. Thomas (14-2). Addy Allen, Ava Goodwin, Charlotte Kelly, Sophia Kelly, Annita Parmelee, Maia Scanlon and Vanessa Williams each chipped in a goal.

Cara Forest and Izzy Taylor played well defensively while Reese Foss had two saves and Lucy Broom recorded six saves.

No. 5 Winnacunnet 19, Hanover 6

Elle Emery led the way for the Warriors with three goals and nine assists as they beat the Bears.

McKinley Fowler added five goals and an assist while Ari Rizzo (two assists) and Emily Arlington each had three goals for Winnacunnet (13-3). Addy McErlain had two goals and an assist in the win.

Reese Gandt (one assist), Hannah Curtain and May Mitchell had a goal apiece and Benten Lyford made six saves.

No. 3 Pinkerton 20, Nashua North 1

The Astros got goals from 11 players as they finished the regular season with a win over the Titans.

Francesca Doyle had four goals while Sookie Folson had two goals and five assists and Melyana Marra scored three times for Pinkerton (13-5). Grace Morrow, Delen James and Aryanna Fenner added two goals apiece.

Ava Michelinie, Parker Knowlton, Cali Lockwood, Lexi Last and Avery Kench each scored a goal while Ada Judge finished with four saves.

No. 7 Londonderry 20, Concord 3

The Lancers cruised to a road win over the Crimson Tide.

Summer Butker led Londonderry (9-6) with four goals to go with five draw controls while Ered Delorey had three goals and four draw controls.

Annabelle Melia and Cora Rogers added three goals apiece in the win.

Boys Volleyball

Dover 3, Hollis Brookline 0

The Cavaliers battled the Green Wave but came up short on the road. Game scores were 25-23, 25-17 and 25-21.

Ben LeClerc had nine kills and Jameson Evelyn and Jack Barnes eac had five kills for HB. Zac Wu recorded 17 assists while Liam Gagne had a solid defensive performance.

Boys Tennis

No. 8 Bishop Guertin 6, No. 9 Pinkerton 3

The Astros saw their season come to an end in the Division I first round, as they fell to the Cardinals.

Mason Treadwell won the No. 2 singles match for Pinkerton, beating Evan Deyak, 9-7, while Jack Welch won at No. 3, getting an 8-4 win  over Jonny Perrot. Treadwell and Arav Mahajan teamed up to win the No. 1 doubles match, 8-6, over Jack Kostanek and Jaxon Deyak.

Kostanek won the No. 1 singles match for Bishop Guertin, beating Mahajan 8-4, while Max Moynihan won at No. 4, 8-1, over Killian Mahan. Jaxon Deyak got an 8-3 win over Michael Saab at No. 5 and Maxx Lizotte won 8-6 over Parker Kingsley at No. 6.

Perrot and Evan Deyak beat Saab and Welch in the No. 2 doubles match, 8-6, while Lizotte and Moynihan had an 8-0 win over Mahan and Kingsley at No. 3.
