Around the Granite State: Windham field hockey gets win to end regular season
Here are results from Friday’s high school action.
Lily Micciche scored the game’s only goal late in the first quarter to help give the Windham High School field hockey team a 1-0 win over Salem on Friday.
Sedona Lee got an assist on the goal, which came with 1:45 remaining in the first, to help the Jaguars (6-10) snap a three-game losing skid.
Sophie Manchester, Emme Mulrenan, Eliza Meuse and Abbie Petrini also played well for Windham in the win.
No. 2 Exeter 6, Nashua South 1
The Panthers saw their regular season come to an end with a loss to the Blue Hawks.
Saige Devins scored early in the third quarter to tie the game for South (3-13), but Exeter stormed back for the win. Maren Lowell got an assist on the goal and Isabelle Shiju made 12 saves.
Amanda Bell, Zoe Perkins, Ava Dergarabedian, Emily Richard and Karina O’Donnell also played well for the Panthers.
