Bedford a unanimous No. 1 in this week’s NHHSSports Football Coaches Poll

While the Bedford High School football team has held the top spot in every NHHSSports Coaches Poll this season, this week marks a new milestone for the Bulldogs.

For the first time, Bedford received every first-place vote, as it heads into its biggest test of the season to date.

The Bulldogs, who are coming off a win over Merrimack last week, will host Pinkerton, which dropped one spot to No. 3 in the poll after losing to Salem, on Friday night.

Exeter traded spots with the Astros, coming in at No 2 following its win over Spaulding; the Blue Hawks will travel to Plaistow to face Timberlane on Thursday night this week.

Londonderry remained at No. 4 after bouncing back with a win over Alvirne and the Lancers will play at Manchester Central on Saturday. Nashua South held on to the fifth spot, and coming off a win over Central, the Panthers will play a home game at Winnacunnet on Friday, due to the closure of Stellos Stadium.

After its win over Pinkerton, Salem jumped up to No. 6 and will go out of state Friday to face Cumberland (R.I.). Plymouth dropped a spot to No. 7 despite a shutout win over Bow; the Bobcats will host Pembroke on Saturday.

Manchester Memorial joins the poll for the first time this season, coming in at No. 8 after a win over Goffstown. The Crusaders will play at Concord on Thursday night.

Alvirne falls to No. 9 following its second straight loss and will look to bounce back at Spaulding on Thursday. Souhegan makes its first appearance in the poll, rounding out the top 10. The Sabers, who beat Hanover last week, will go to Milford for a Friday night game.
