The Bulldogs wrapped up the season with a 14-10 win over Portsmouth in the D1 title game on Tuesday, with the Clippers also taking second in the final poll. It’s the highest finish for either team in the top 10.
Bishop Guertin came in at No. 3 for the eighth week in a row after reaching the D1 semifinals, where the Cardinals fell to the Clippers. Nashua South, which dropped the other semifinal to Bedford, ended the year at No. 4, while Dover rounded out the top five; the Green Wave lost to Bishop Guertin in the D1 quarterfinals.
Bow, which won the Division III title for its first championship since 2009, came in at No. 6, just a few points behind South and Dover, while Hollis Brookline, which won the Division II title for its first since 2010, finished at No. 7. The Falcons knocked off St. Thomas (also receiving votes) for the D3 crown while the Cavaliers defeated Hanover in D2.
After falling in the D1 quarterfinals to South, Pinkerton ended the year at No. 8 in the poll, while Hanover came in at No. 9. Windham, which lost in the D2 semifinals to HB, rounded out the top 10.
