Bedford football takes control in 1st half to beat Goffstown

The Bedford High School football team did all its scoring in the first half Friday night on the way to a 35-14 win over Goffstown in a Division I West Conference game.

Brody Helton ran for 99 yards and three touchdowns on 10 carries and caught two passes for another 26 yards. Those passes came from Jack Maye, who was 13 of 20 for 163 yards and two touchdown passes, one each to Landon Ellsmore and Peter Suozzo.

Suozzo had two receptions for 51 yards while Ellsmore’s scoring catch was from 32 yards. Bennett Matthews also caught six passes for 39 yards.

The Bulldogs (3-0 in D1, 4-0 overall, No. 1 in the NHHSSports Coaches Poll) led 35-0 at halftime, as Goffstown (1-3) scored all of its points in the fourth quarter.
