DERRY – A lot teams that play the Bedford High School girls basketball team have to decide who they want to try to shut down.
Do they take away the middle to try to slow down junior Lana McCarthy? Or do they focus on the perimeter and try to keep the Bulldogs’ outside shooters in check? Not easy questions to answer, if answered at all.
Pinkerton was unable to come up with one Friday night, as Bedford used a big second-quarter run to break open a close game and rolled through the second half on the way to a 78-52 win over the Astros in a Division I contest.
