BEDFORD – When preparing for Tuesday night’s game, Kevin Gibbs thought there was one place where his Bedford High School girls basketball team might have an advantage over Londonderry.
The Bulldogs coach felt the teams matched up well across the floor, but Gibbs thought Bedford might have an edge with Juliet Laws in the lineup. Sure enough, when the Bulldogs needed it, the sophomore was there to pick them up.
Laws scored 12 of her team-high 14 points in the second half, including all of Bedford’s points in the third quarter, as the Bulldogs rallied in the fourth quarter for a 43-38 win over Londonderry in a rematch of last year’s Division I championship game.
