Bedford girls win second D1 indoor track title in a row

The Bedford High School girls indoor track team placed in nine events to win its second Division I indoor track championship in a row Saturday in a meet held at Plymouth State University.

Anika Scott finished first in two events for the Bulldogs, setting a state record in the 55-meter hurdles while also winning the 300-meter dash. Mikita Barry also took home two firsts, winning the 1,000- and 1,500-meter runs. Bedford also won the 4×800-meter relay.

The Bulldogs recorded 72 points to finish ahead of Concord, which was second with 62, and Exeter, taking third with 57 points. Nashua North (49) and Pinkerton (48) rounded out the top five team finishers.
