Bedford, Londonderry remain in top spots in New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Field Hockey Coaches Poll

For the fifth week in a row, the Bedford High School field hockey team held on to the top spot in the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Coaches Poll.

The Bulldogs received six first-place votes to hold off undefeated Londonderry for the No. 1 position. The Lancers received four first-place votes and finished four points behind Bedford; the two teams will play on Friday at Londonderry.

Keene remained at No. 3 for the second week in a row while Pinkerton narrowly held off Winnacunnet to keep the No. 4 spot. The Warriors moved up one place to round out the top five.

Oyster River, the lone undefeated team remaining in Division II, moved up one spot to No. 6 this week, while Souhegan, which lost its first game to the Bobcats last week, dropped two spots to No. 7.

Dover held on at No. 8 this week, while Timberlane moved back into the top 10, finishing in a tie for No. 9 with John Stark, which was 10th a week ago. Salem dropped out of the top 10.

4. Pinkerton (6-3), 66, 4th
5. Winnacunnet (7-1-1), 65, 6th

8. Dover (6-4), 29, 8th
9. T-Timberlane (6-3), 13, NR
10. T-John Stark (8-1-1), 13, 10th

Dropped Out: Salem.

Others receiving votes: Bishop Guertin (6-3), 12; Salem (5-4), 9, 9th; Concord (5-3-1), 1; St. Thomas (6-0), 1; Exeter (4-6), 1.
