Bedford, Pinkerton tie for top spot in New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Football Coaches Poll

The Bedford High School and Pinkerton Academy football teams just keep winning, and the voters have never been more divided on who the top team in the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Coaches Poll is than this week.

The Bulldog and the Astros each received eight first-place votes to finish in a tie for the No. 1 spot in this week’s top 10. Bedford will head to Goffstown on Friday night while Pinkerton hosts Londonderry for the annual Mack Plaque game.

Bishop Guertin moved up two spots to No. 3 while Nashua South held on at No. 4 and Exeter moved back up a spot to round out the top five. Salem, coming off a loss to Pinkerton, dropped three spots to No. 6. The Blue Devils will go to Bishop Guertin on Saturday night while South takes on Nashua North on Friday night and Exeter hosts Winnacunnet on Saturday afternoon.

Manchester Memorial moved up three spots to No. 7 this week while Souhegan, still the lone Division II team in the poll, jumped one place to No. 8. The Crusaders go to Timberlane on Friday while the Sabers go on the road to face Manchester West, another 3-0 team.

After being the first team out in each of the first three polls, Winnacunnet moved into the top 10 at No. 9, while Londonderry dropped two more spots to finish out the poll.
