Big week looming for top teams in NHHSSports Field Hockey Coaches Poll

Crunch time is here for a lot of high school field hockey teams, including those in the NHHSSports Coaches Poll.
There are 10 games this week featuring two teams in the top 10 or among teams also receiving votes, and there are several around the state with three games this week. It will be a make-or-break stretch for many of them.
For the second week in a row, Keene took the top spot, getting nine first-place votes. The Blackbirds will host Bishop Guertin on Monday going to Nashua South on Wednesday and hosting Merrimack on Friday.
Exeter and Dover moved up and into a tie for second in the poll, with the Blue Hawks getting a first-place vote. Exeter travels to Bedford on Monday night for its only game of the week, while Dover goes to Portsmouth on Monday and hosts Concord on Friday.
Bedford dropped to No. 4 and will also travel to Pinkerton on Wednesday. Bishop Guertin remained fifth for the third week in a row and the Cardinals will also play back-to-back games at Goffstown on Friday and against Manchester Memorial-Central on Saturday.
Pinkerton held on at No. 6, also for the third straight week, as the Astros also go to Timberlane on Monday and to Portsmouth on Friday.
Concord move up into a tie for seventh with Oyster River. The Crimson Tide go to Goffstown on Monday before Friday’s game at Dover, while the Bobcats travel to Hollis Brookline on Monday and to Derryfield on Wednesday before hosting Bow on Friday.
Winnacunnet dropped a spot to No. 9 while HB held on to the 10th spot in the poll. The Warriors host Londonderry on Monday before traveling to Nashua North on Wednesday and Timberlane on Friday, while the Cavaliers finish out a three-game week at Lebanon on Wednesday and home to Merrimack Valley on Saturday.
