NASHUA – The Bishop Guertin High School boys basketball team ended the regular season with two of its worst offensive performances of the year.

Now that its tournament season, when it mattered most Wednesday night, the Cardinals turned the offense on from start to finish.

No. 6 Bishop Guertin hit 11 3-pointers, jumped out an early lead, and held No. 11 Manchester Central at a seemingly comfortable distance throughout on the way to an 84-63 win in the Division I preliminary round. The win sends the Cardinals to the quarterfinals, where they will face No. 3 Goffstown at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
