The Bishop Guertin High School boys lacrosse team won its third-straight Division I championship and finished the season at the top of the NHHSSports Coaches Poll once again.

It’s the 27th straight week that the Cardinals have been No. 1 and they received every first-place vote all season. On Sunday, they defeated Pinkerton 15-6 in the D1 title game.
There was a tie for second, as Derryfield and Pinkerton finished with the same number of points. The Cougars won their first Division II title on Sunday, beating Portsmouth in overtime, and they’re just the fourth team (first from D2) to finish with at least a share of the No. 2 spot. The Astros won 10 of their final 12 games, with the two losses against Bishop Guertin.
Portsmouth, the runner-up in D2, came in fourth and Exeter, which fell to Pinkerton in the D1 semifinals, rounded out the top five.
Bedford finished at No. 6 after falling in the quarterfinals to Merrimack, which jumped from ninth to seventh to end the season. The Tomahawks fell in the semifinals to Bishop Guertin.
Londonderry came in at No. 8, finishing its season with a loss to Pinkerton in the D1 quarterfinals, while St. Thomas finished at No. 9 after reaching the semifinals, where the Saints lost to Derryfield. Timberlane rounded out the top 10 after falling to St. Thomas in the quarterfinals.
Here is the NHHSS Boys Lacrosse Coaches Poll for this week. These are the top 10 lacrosse teams in the state, with records, first-place votes/points, and last week’s ranking (T=tie).

The coaches poll is voted on by coaches from all three divisions, as well as members of the media. This will be the final coaches poll for the 2023 season.
