Bishop Guertin, Exeter finish at top of NHHSSports Boys Lacrosse Coaches Poll

The Bishop Guertin High School boys lacrosse team ends the 2022 season in the same spot its been in for the last two years – at the top of the NHHSSports Boys Lacrosse Coaches Poll.

The Cardinals were the wire-to-wire No. 1 for the second year in a row, and were the unanimous top team for eight of the nine weeks this season. Bishop Guertin capped off the year with an 11-6 win over Exeter in the Division I championship game; the Blue Hawks finish the year at No. 2 in the poll.

Portsmouth, which won its second straight Division II title, came in at No. 3, while Pinkerton, which lost to BG in the D1 semifinals, remained at No. 4. Derryfield was the runner-up in D2 and rounded out the top five.

Londonderry, which lost to Exeter in the D1 semifinals, moved up a spot to No. 6, trading places with Nashua South, which finished seventh after falling to Pinkerton in the D1 quarterfinals. Windham returned to the D2 semifinals this year before falling to Derryfield and finished No. 8 in the final poll.

Timberlane, which also made the D2 semis before losing to Portsmouth, came in at No. 9 and Laconia, fresh off its Division III title win over Hopkinton, jumped into the poll at No. 10.

Here is the final NHHSS Boys Lacrosse Coaches Poll. These are the top 10 lacrosse teams in the state, with record, first-place votes/points and last week’s ranking (T=tie).

The coaches poll is voted on by coaches from all three divisions, as well as members of the media.
