The Cardinals are also ending the year as the No. 1 team in the MerchSquared.com/NHHSSports Coaches Poll for the fifth year in a row, a spot they’ve held now for 45 straight polls.
Bishop Guertin received all 13 first-place votes this week after getting a 19-5 win over Pinkerton in the final, the team’s 79th consecutive win over an in-state opponent. The Astros were No. 2 in the poll for the second week in a row.
Bedford, which fell in the D1 semifinal to Bishop Guertin, came in at No. 3 and Exeter, which lost to Pinkerton in the D1 semis, finished the year at No. 4.
Portsmouth and Derryfield traded spots in the top 10 after the Clippers defeated the Cougars in the D2 final. Portsmouth ends the year at No. 5 and Derryfield at No. 6, while St. Thomas, which lost to Derryfield in the D2 semis, comes in at No. 7.
Merrimack, which lost to Exeter in the D1 quarterfinals, wraps up the season at No. 8 while Winnacunnet, which lost to Portsmouth in the D2 semis, is No. 9.
For the first time this year, Plymouth joins the top 10, coming in at No. 10 after beating Coe-Brown in the D3 championship game. It is the first time a D3 team has been in the top 10 since the final poll of 2022.

The coaches poll is voted on by coaches from all three divisions, as well as members of the media. This will be the final poll of 2025.
