The Bishop Guertin High School boys lacrosse team picked up three more wins last week to extend its streak to six in a row and held on to the top spot in the NHHSS Coaches Poll.

The Cardinals picked up wins over Salem, Souhegan and Dover by a combined score of 55-13 and are off until the end of the week, when they head to Xaverian Brothers (Westwood, Mass.) on Thursday and host Hanover on Friday.

Pinkerton got a pair of wins over Concord and Longmeadow (Mass.) during vacation week to hold off Exeter for the No. 2 spot. The Blue Hawks have won four in a row, including wins over Souhegan and Londonderry last week, while Derryfield remained at No. 4 after beating Manchester Memorial-West last Tuesday.

Londonderry held on to the fifth spot in the poll after splitting a pair of games against Salem and Exeter, while Portsmouth had a three-win week, including a victory over Nashua North, to stay at No. 6. Nashua South and Souhegan switched spots in the poll, coming in at Nos. 7 and 8, respectively; the two will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Stellos Stadium.

Hopkinton climbed up a spot to No. 9 while Timberlane made its first appearance in the poll this season, moving in at No. 10, while Concord dropped out of the poll.

Here is the NHHSS Boys Lacrosse Coaches Poll. These are the top 10 lacrosse teams in the state, with record in parentheses followed by first-place votes/points and last week’s ranking.

The coaches poll is voted on by coaches from all three divisions, as well as members of the media.
