For the fourth season in a row, the Bishop Guertin High School boys lacrosse team is a unanimous choice for the top spot in the NHHSSports Preseason Boys Lacrosse Coaches Poll.

The Cardinals received all 16 first-place votes, putting them at No. 1 for the 28th straight week as they seek their fourth consecutive Division I championship in 2024. Bishop Guertin defeated Pinkerton, 15-6, in last year’s D1 title game.

Derryfield, last year’s D2 champ, held on the No. 2 ranking it finished 2023 with, just barely. The Cougars, who beat Portsmouth 12-11 in overtime in the title game, edged out Exeter and Bedford by just a few points.

The Blue Hawks came in third and the Bulldogs finished fourth, separated by just one point in the voting. Pinkerton rounded out the preseason top five.

Portsmouth finished just a few points out of the top five, taking the No. 6 spot, while Timberlane ended up at No. 7. Londonderry and St. Thomas ended up in the same spots they finished in last year, coming in at Nos. 8 and 9, respectively, while Windham finished out the top 10 for the preseason.
