Bishop Guertin remains in top spot in NHHSSports Boys Lacrosse Coaches Poll as playoffs begin
For the third year in a row, the Bishop Guertin High School boys lacrosse team ended the regular season where it started it – at the top of the NHHSSports Coaches Poll.
For the third year in a row, the Bishop Guertin High School boys lacrosse team ended the regular season where it started it – at the top of the NHHSSports Coaches Poll.
The Cardinals were once again the unanimous choice for No. 1, as they’ll go for their third-straight Division I title starting with Saturday’s quarterfinal against Concord.
Pinkerton held on to the No. 2 spot, the first time in six weeks that a team has held that spot in consecutive weeks. The Astros are seeded third in the D1 playoffs and will host Londonderry on Saturday. Exeter took the No. 3 spot heading into its quarterfinal against Dover, also on Saturday.
Derryfield stayed at No. 4, as the Cougars earned the No. 2 seed in Division II, and will host either ConVal or Oyster River-Newmarket in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
Portsmouth and Bedford share the No. 5 spot this week. The Clippers are the top seed in D2 and will host either Souhegan or Hollis Brookline on Saturday, while the Bulldogs are the fourth seed in D1, with a home quarterfinal against Merrimack, also scheduled for Saturday.
Londonderry remained at No. 7 heading into its quarterfinal at Pinkerton and Timberlane kept the No. 8 spot. The Owls will host Hanover in a D2 first-round game on Thursday.
Merrimack held on to the No. 9 spot in the poll ahead of its quarterfinal at Bedford, while St. Thomas leapt over Winnacunnet to return to 10th in the poll. The Saints will host Alvirne in a D2 first-round game on Thursday.
Here is the NHHSS Boys Lacrosse Coaches Poll for this week. These are the top 10 lacrosse teams in the state, with records, first-place votes/points, and last week’s ranking (T=tie).

This will be the last coaches poll until after the playoffs are done.
