LACONIA – The Bow High School boys lacrosse team held Plymouth scoreless in the second half Thursday to get an 8-5 win in the Division III semifinal at Bank of NH Stadium in Laconia.

Niko Mallios had three goals and Parker Kazanowski scored what proved to be the game-winner midway through the third quarter as the No. 2 Falcons (14-2), which will play in the D3 championship game for the second time in three years.

Sam Bennett and Timothy Ingalls added two goals apiece and goalie Brad Ekstrom helped the defense shut out the No. 3 Bobcats (13-4) in the final two quarters.

Remi Sakin scored two goals to lead Plymouth while Brodhi Rousseau, Cooper Legacy and Foster Whitworth added a goal apiece. Cullen McNair played well in goal, including six saves in the second half.

The teams went back and forth in the first quarter, with Plymouth taking a 2-1 lead before Bow answered with a 3-0 run. Sakin scored with six seconds left in the quarter to make it 4-3 Falcons and Whitworth tied the game midway through the second.

The scored was tied at 5 at halftime and stayed there until Kazanowski’s goal with 6:34 left in the third quarter. The Falcons held a 6-5 lead for more than 12 minutes, until Bennett and Mallios scored to put the game away.

Bow will try to win its first championship since 2010 when it takes on No. 1 Coe-Brown in the D3 final at 5 p.m. Saturday in Laconia.
