Boys, girls tennis playoff pairings released

The high school tennis playoffs get underway Tuesday afternoon, and the NHIAA has released the pairings for all three boys and girls divisions.

The high school tennis playoffs get underway Tuesday afternoon, and the NHIAA has released the pairings for all three boys and girls divisions.

Here’s a look at the matchups.

Boys

Division I quarterfinals (Tuesday, May 27 at 4 p.m.)

  • No. 8 Alvirne (7-7) at No. 1 Bedford (14-0): the Bulldogs won in the regular season, 9-0, on April 16.
  • No. 5 Londonderry (11-3) at No. 4 Winnacunnet (12-2): teams did not play in regular season.
  • No. 7 Nashua North (8-6) at No. 2 Keene (13-1): the Blackbirds won in the regular season, 7-2, on May 21.
  • No. 6 Concord (10-4) at No. 3 Exeter (12-2): the Blue Hawks won in the regular season, 5-4, on May 13.

Division II quarterfinals (Tuesday, May 27 at 4 p.m.)

  • No. 8 Souhegan (8-6) at No. 1 Derryfield (14-0): the Cougars won in the regular season, 9-0, on April 18.
  • No. 5 Goffstown (11-3) at No. 4 Lebanon (11-3): the Raiders won in the regular season, 6-3, on May 7.
  • No. 7 ConVal (7-5) at No. 2 Portsmouth (13-1): teams did not play in the regular season.
  • No. 6 Bishop Brady (9-5) at No. 3 Hanover (12-1): the Marauders won in the regular season, 8-1, on May 19.

Division III quarterfinals (Tuesday, May 27 at 4 p.m.)

  • No. 8 Pelham (8-6) at No. 1 Gilford (14-0): teams did not play in the regular season.
  • No. 5 Prospect Mountain (10-4) at No. 4 Monadnock (11-3): teams did not play in the regular season.
  • No. 7 Berlin (8-6) at No. 2 Bow (13-1): teams did not play in the regular season.
  • No. 6 Wilton-Lyndeborough (9-5) at No. 3 Kingswood (12-2): teams did not play in the regular season.

2013 champs: Division I: Bedford (fourth straight, D1/D2/Class I); Division II: Hanover (12th overall); Division III: Gilford (seventh overall).

  • No. 7 Sanborn (9-5) at No. 2 Conant (13-1): the Orioles won twice in the regular season, 5-0 and 6-0 on May 22.
  • No. 6 Kingswood (10-4) at No. 3 Bow (13-1): teams did not meet during the regular season.
