MERRIMACK – The Merrimack High School boys lacrosse team battled in the second half but couldn’t overcome a halftime deficit and fell to Exeter 11-8 on Tuesday.

Shea Scott had three goals to lead the Tomahawks (6-3, No. 9 in the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Coaches Poll) while Trevor Shorette and Cayden Dine had a goal and an assist apiece.

Sean Anderson, Gabe Gorman and Reid Guidish each had a goal as well while Josh Kahn, Landon Leblanc and Liam Newman had an assist apiece.

Mason Tremblay made 13 saves for Merrimack while Guidish and Cash Torres combined to win 12 of 16 faceoffs.

No. 6 Derryfield 22, Merrimack Valley 6

Emerson Stover and Dom Cercone each had four goals and an assist to lead the Cougars to a win over the Pride.

Ryan Maxwell added two goals and five assists while Heath Mueller (one assist), Henry Fleit and Griffin Kim had two goals apiece. Sebastian Wright and Charlie Rousseau also had a goal and an assist apiece.

Garrett Lande recorded two assists while Jackson Hatfield, Mitch Labbe, Alex May and Sam Rousseau each had a goal. Vittorio Masoni and Will Hazard each had an assist.

Ryder Proulx made six saves while Hatfield, Awaab Mousa, Isaac Kosakowski and Parker Johnson combined to go 20 of 29 on faceoffs.

Merrimack Valley got two goals each from Kash Fawcett and Brady Rothburn while Colin Reardon and Carter Lankhorst had a goal apiece. Adrian Buss made six saves.
