Boys Lacrosse Roundup: Pinkerton holds off Hingham (video)
Here are results from Saturday’s high school boys lacrosse action.
DERRY – The Pinkerton Academy boys lacrosse team built up a three-goal lead in the second quarter Saturday and made it hold up to get an 8-6 win over Hingham (Mass.).
The Astros outscored the Harbormen 3-0 in the second to take a 6-3 lead into halftime, and after Hingham scored twice in the third to cut the lead to one, Pinkerton (7-1, No. 2 in the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Coaches Poll) added two goals in two minutes to back up by three.
Matt Gormady had three goals and an assist to lead the Astros while Levi Weaver had two goals and two assists. Jackson Farrell also scored three times and Ryson Michaud added a goal.
Tyler Pinardi, Tyler Barry, Brendan Carney and Caleb Hobden each had an assist while Owen Perkins had eight saves and Pinardi and Dylan Stingel combined to win 13 of 18 faceoffs.

No. 8 Merrimack 5, Chelmsford (Mass.) 4
Cayden Dine scored as time expired to give the Tomahawks a road win over the Lions.
Dine also had an assist while Sean Anderson had a goal and assistsed on the game-winner for Merrimack (5-2). Austin Kovaliv and Shea Scott added a goal and an assist apiece.
Landon Leblanc also had a goal and Mason Tremblay finished with 11 saves.
No. 3 Bedford 19, Westford (Mass.) 12
The Bulldogs went on the road to get a high-scoring win over the Ghosts.
Bryce D’Urso had five goals and an assist and Cobe Rubin also scored five times to lead Bedford (7-1) while Bennett Matthews added four goals and two assists. Savo Ftorek scored twice and Dylan Riccio and Drew Psskalis added a goal apiece.
Ethan Conn finished with seven saves and Sam Swiniarski had two saves. Riccio was 25 for 25 on faceoffs.
