Cavs lead locals on girls soccer all-state teams
Seven area athletes were named to the girls soccer first-team of their respective divisions, including three members of the Hollis/Brookline High School team.

Seven area athletes were named to the girls soccer first-team of their respective divisions, including three members of the Hollis/Brookline High School team.
In all, 22 local girls soccer players received all-state honors.
Division I
Hollis/Brookline, which moved up to Division I this season, had three players named to the division first-team – Amanda Gerlitz, Alyssa Cappetta and McHale Perkins.
Katie Conmy of Nashua South and Molly McGaffigan of Bishop Guertin were both named to the Division I second-team. Alvirne’s Katelyn Fortier, Nicole Godschall and Amanda Roberts received honorable mention, as did Merrimack’s Rachael Carter and Rebecca Giacapuzzi.
Nashua South’s Bonnie Watson was also named junior varsity coach of the year.
Division II
Bedford’s Casey Levis and Carley Pestana were both named to the Division II first-team, as were Milford’s Morgan Andrew and Souhegan’s Kelsea Bemis.
Aubrey Ouellet of Bedford and Shelby Belak of Souhegan received second-team honors, while Souhegan also had three players receive honorable mention – Holly Bourassa, Peyton Kent and Madison Learned.
Amy Sparks of Souhegan was named junior varsity coach of the year.
Division III
Campbell’s Bob Gannon was named coach of the year after leading the Cougars to an undefeated season and their first girls soccer title. Courtney Gannon, Shannon Savard and Shawna Trunca were all named to the Division III first-team.
Division IV
Wilton-Lyndeborough’s Sam Blais and Sadie Zavgren were both named to the Division IV second-team, while Emily Morse received honorable mention.
