The Hollis/Brookline High School boys tennis team picked up a hard-fought win Friday over Souhegan 6-3.

All but one match was decided by more than three games, as the Cavaliers (4-0) remained undefeated in Division II play. Souhegan dropped to 2-2.

Corbin Tulley got H/B a win at No. 1 singles, beating Souhegan’s Nick Poulack 8-6, and Matt Kozsan won at No. 2 for the Cavs, besting Liam Murphy 8-5. Jonathan Gual made it three singles wins for the Cavs by beating Nate Redington 8-3 at No. 4.

Souhegan got a win at No. 3 from Matt Protzmann, who knocked off Ryan Connell 9-7, and David Monleon beat Sam Mangano 8-5 in the No. 5 match. Ben Bacher won the No. 6 match over Gaeton Ciot, 9-8 (9-7), to tie the match 3-3 going into doubles.

H/B was able to sweep the three doubles matches to pull out the win, getting a 9-7 victory at No. 1 as Tulley and Kozsan knocked off Poulack and Redington. Connell and Gual also won by a 9-7 count at No. 2, beating Protzmann and Alex Paquin. Mangano and Ciot also won at No. 3, beating Bacher and Jason Emmond 8-5.
