Tasha White remembers what it was like watching her older sister play for the Hollis Brookline High School girls lacrosse team.

A program that won back-to-back titles a decade ago in Division III, the Cavaliers tried to move up to Division I in 2011 and spent six seasons there.

While HB finished with a winning record in the first three of those seasons, the Cavs steadily dropped over the next three, culminating in two seasons outside of the playoffs. That included 2016, HB’s final year playing up before moving into Division II, which was also senior year for Teagan White.

“I remember watching them,” Tasha White said. “Their group wasn’t as into it, it didn’t look like they had fun.”
