ConVal boys soccer needs overtime to beat Windham

Max Sturges scored late in double overtime to give ConVal High School a 2-1 win Thursday over Windham.

The teams played through a scoreless first half before Stephen Twitchell put the Cougars (2-0) up 1-0 in the 51st minute, heading in a free kick by Alex Miller.

Windham tied the game in 70th minute when Matt Laliberte scored on a corner kick. In double overtime, Miller sent the ball into the box and Sturges found the back of the net.
