Caroline Daziel had a lacrosse stick in her hands before she even knew how to use them.

The youngest of his four daughters, Rob Daziel remembers that each one of them was introduced to the game of lacrosse so early on that none of them likely remembers it.

“Her grandmother handed her a stick the day she was born,” the Pinkerton Academy girls lacrosse coach said. “It was in the bassinet with her. She did it with all of (Daziel’s kids), put little fiddle stick lacrosse sticks in with them. Fortunately, they all enjoyed it.”

After watching three older sisters play for the Astros, and for the most part, with her dad as the coach, Caroline Daziel enters her senior season having waited a long time to leave her own mark on the program. While she played some varsity as a freshman, a knee injury ended the younger Daziel’s season just a few games into her sophomore year.
