HOLLIS – The good news for the Derryfield School boys lacrosse team was that it was able to bounce back from its first loss in over three years with a win over previously-unbeaten Hollis Brookline.

The bad news was that the Cougars struggled to a lot of little things in the second half after taking a commanding lead into halftime.

Derryfield led 8-1 early in the third quarter, but HB was able to get back within four goals in the fourth quarter before the Cougars put the 10-4 win away on a pair of goals by Jon MacLean in a Division II game.
