Derryfield boys lacrosse, Goffstown softball to be featured on The Season

This spring, The Season just got a little bigger.

The behind-the-scenes documentary series returns for another go-round, and this time, with a wrinkle, as NH-HighSchoolSports.com is proud to announce The Season: Road to Redemption.

This spring, we will be following two teams – the Derryfield School boys lacrosse team and the Goffstown High School softball team – as both look to return to their respective championship games, and this time, take home the ultimate prize.

In its first year in Division II, Derryfield boys lacrosse reached the championship game, the program’s third straight title game. But just like their last year in Division III, the Cougars came up a goal short. With a strong core returning, Derryfield should again be in the mix for the division title.

Just like the Cougars, Goffstown softball reached the Division II championship game, overcoming the long odds of a season-ending injury to the Grizzlies’ starting pitcher and adversity in the playoffs. Goffstown welcomes back all but a few starters from last season, and hopes are once again set high.

Both teams will be featured in weekly episodes that are scheduled to begin the week of April 11, when the regular season begins.
