HOLLIS – With rain and wind forecasted throughout, there was only one point of emphasis Friday for the Derryfield School boys lacrosse team.

The Cougars just wanted to finish with one more goal than Hollis Brookline.

That’s what Derryfield did, and then added one more for insurance, as the Cougars scored twice in the opening minutes of the fourth quarter to break a tie, and then held on for a 7-5 win over the Cavaliers in a Division II game.
