MANCHESTER - It had only been eight days since the Derryfield School boys lacrosse team wrapped up the regular season against Oyster River-Newmarket. With the result of that game having no weight on the final Division II standings, both teams played a flat through what ended up as a Cougars' win.

With the result of that game having no weight on the final Division II standings, both teams played a flat through what ended up as a Cougars’ win.
No. 1 Derryfield knew that had to change if it was going to keep its season going, and after giving up the game’s first goal Saturday, the Cougars outscored the No. 8 Bobcats 10-1 over the remainder of the first half on the way to a 14-8 win over Oyster River-Newmarket in the D2 quarterfinals.
