MANCHESTER – The Derryfield School girls lacrosse team might have a young roster, but the Cougars have a handful of seniors who are ready to lead the way this season.
That group showed just how they can do it Saturday against Winnacunnet.
After a slow start that saw the Warriors grab the early lead, Derryfield’s seniors stepped up, and with plenty of support from the underclassmen, rolled to an 11-5 win over Winnacunnet. It was the first meeting between the two programs, which finished as the runner-up in Division III and Division II, respectively, in 2019.
